The Art Of Disguise #2: A day with the Black Leather Biker Jacket!

To be totally honest, I had no idea that I would wear the famous badass black leather jacket ever!  But today, I wore it… I wore it for the entire day! I went through so many OOTDs and found that it is best matched with

2. Tank top, denims and boots!

With the idea in mind, I thought of wearing the dress and biker jacket for the first half of the day – to my college.

Part 1:

I won’t lie to you but I had to change many things – from simple things like just brushing my hair and pulling it back together (my thick and inevitably heavy jacket kept rising and it got tight near the shoulder area) to the mundane activities like typing in my laptop!! My metal zips in the jacket kept clacking and clinking against the keyboard. Obviously, I  didn’t know how to carry a biker jacket well!! However, it became better as the day went… I became more comfortable with the style!

It was quite amusing the way stereotypes work! This dress isn’t really the best match for the jacket… I mean, the dress shows a delicate feminine side. The jacket in pure contrast shows edginess! I had to meet new group mates today and they totally could not decipher me! They did not know if I were the shy and silent type or the adventurous and don’t-care type!

So, it was exciting to carry this style! It was just as challenging too!

That isn’t the exact pose that you would expect someone in a such a jacket to be posing in, but there it is!

Part 2:

This is when I wore a striped tank top, jeans, a choker and boots! This picture doesn’t do much justice to show I looked but the jacket is there! This was for the second part of the day… an evening out with friends. No big reactions from them. So, I had to push them over to tell me how I looked! One said that I looked open-minded culturally – I guess what that means is something like being accommodative and coming out of the ‘conservative’ dressing style. Just guessing – I still don’t know what that means. Another one of my friends popped in to say that my outfit looked like something that would go well with an airport scene – thank you models for making this outfit an airport look! Hahaha! What I felt inside was a bit different, I felt like I was on my way on dressing like a hipster!

That was my day in the biker jacket. If you guys think about anything else as a disguise on a regular day for you, put it in the comments section!  Also, if you would like me to try on different looks like another way to wear this very same jacket, I would love to!

Adios!
