How to be a Smarter Online Shopper: 4 Ways to Save your Money When you Shop Online

Every day is a day to show off your fashion sense

I see it, I like it, I want it, I got it…

Not everyone is Ariana and we live a modest life. But do you also love that outfit on a model or those killer shoes? You know you want it but do you think that it is expensive? Do you feel like you have a wardrobe of clothes but nothing to wear? Don’t despair! These are three ways to save money, face and confidence and to bring your A-game to wherever you go!

1. Accessorise that Outfit:

Whoever said that smile is your best accessory definitely did not know about those accessories that can make or break your outfits. Without accessories, even the best of outfits can look plain, dull and boring. Usually buying accessories is cheaper than buying clothes and each accessory can make your outfit look different. A scarf tied in different ways can make the outfit look unique each time you sport it!

Do you want to know the best part of investing in accessories? You can wear it with a number of outfits and you will make the best use of money that way!

2. Classic Style:

A trench coat is iconic. A little-black dress is a must-have fashion piece. A leather jacket is a part of your personality on certain nights. If you are ever deciding between a classic timeless piece and another dress/outfit or any other thing, then go for the classic ones! You can never go wrong with classic pieces and you never need to buy something like that ever again. It is like an investment in life and you are saving money on all the other styles that are closely related to this timeless fashion.

Bonus? If you think it has been in your wardrobe for a while and you desire other ones, you can sell it and it is guaranteed that people will come to buy those pieces!

3. Read the Description and Reviews:

Many people fall in love with the apparel in first sight and forget reading the details. When they buy the clothes and receive it, their beaming face turns into a frowning one. My tip is to avoid that. Look closer at the fine print. Honestly, if you don’t do that that then it is considered your fault. If you miss that with all the excitement and daydreams about your to-be-outfit, then scroll all the way down and read the reviews. This way, you will know the size measurements and how it fits others, the exact colour (if the apparel in the picture is for “illustrations purposes only”) and most importantly, others’ opinions on that clothing article. It is always better to be safe than sorry.

4. Wait for a Day when it is Expensive (Yep!) :

Usually, when your eyes twinkle when you scroll down the shopping website page, just save it or bookmark that page. What you might not know at this time is that you might like it now and might not like it later. Safe the trouble and keep the pages open for you to see it another time. If you are like most people, scrolling through the website during work hours or a few minutes before sleeping, then DO follow this rule!

After a few hours or the next day, look into these outfits again and see if you really want it. It can save you a lot of money if you see the outfit and think why you ever wanted it in the first place. On the other hand, if it is still looking solid to be a part of your wardrobe but you are worried about it being expensive, then you have two choices: you can either wait until the sale season happens, which can mean that the outfit may or may not be there, or as mentioned above you can rent it on certain shopping websites if they have that offer!

That is all for today! See you soon!

  1. Great advice to not buy on impulse! I prefer shopping in person rather than online. I like trying on clothes to see how I look rather than how they look on a 5 ft 10 model. I certainly don’t buy everything I try on in a store. I like to feel the fabric, that way I can tell if it’s quality. Quality is better than quantity. I agree, accessories make the outfit.
